About Gorillaz
Gorillaz are an English band formed in 1998 by Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett from London, England. The band has mainly consisted of four members; 2-D (Vocalist and keyboards), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar), Noodle (guitar, keyboards, vocalist), and Russel Hobbs (drums). And this varied style plays itself out in how the band presents itself live. For example, they hid the band from the audience’s view in the year years projecting animated band members on stage with computer graphics as well as traditional live tours featuring the band fully visible. Gorillaz have sold over 26 million records worldwide and were cited by the Guinness World Records as teh world’s “Most Successful Virtual Band”. On top of this, they have been nominated for and won several prestigious music awards.
